ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES

Server & Storage Infrastructure

Designing and implementing the right storage and server infrastructure will take into consideration your current productivity needs, specific business applications and anticipated growth. Within ACT we have extensive expertise in the design, implementation and support of both HP and IBM server and storage solutions.

Understanding your needs

In the implementation and support of core business applications - email, file and print - we have considerable experience in implementing applications and in the sizing of the hardware requirements and we can recommend the most appropriate solution for specific applications. For our Reinsurance clients we understand the various technical requirements for these process-intensive applications and can confidently recommend effective server and storage solutions to allow the maximum amount of processing power available for the specific business applications.

Understanding your data requirements and volume of data, we will work with you to design an effective backup architecture that will ensure that your data is recoverable in a time sensitive manner.

Using less space

Within Bermuda, physical data location space is at a premium and as such many of our clients look towards reducing the physical footprint. Virtualizing your core infrastructure applications such as email, Blackberry and file and print using VMWare can consolidate five or six physical servers down to one or two servers and provide a level of redundancy within the applications. Implementing blade technologies, either stand-alone on in conjunction with VMWare, can also dramatically reduce the footprint within your data room or at your co-location site.

Our server and storage team expertise goes beyond the architecture and implementation of these technologies. We have a team of engineers who are trained and experienced in supporting these technologies on a daily basis.

We are the only Solution Provider in Bermuda that can offer hardware service to both IBM and HP products.
